Mr. Peter Busch

Mr. Peter Busch

Peter Busch has been working in the field of RF test & measurement for 24 years and has been involved in mobile network optimization from the beginning.

He started his career as a service and application engineer in the German Rohde & Schwarz sales organization and then moved on to work in the Rohde & Schwarz system department, handling production test systems for mobile network equipment. He was also responsible for sales in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia. Peter holds a graduate engineering degree in communications technology from the Hamburg University of Applied Science.


Mr. Magnus Hylen

Mr. Magnus Hylen

Magnus Hylén is Technology Product Manager for Mobile Network Testing with focus on testing of new technologies such 5G NR, V2X and IoT.

He has been exploring mobile network technologies throughout his professional life – from first generation automatic analogue voice networks to today’s 4G and 5G multimedia networks. Magnus joined SwissQual AG and Rohde & Schwarz as Product Manager 13 years ago. SwissQual AG is a pioneer in mobile network and service benchmarking founded in 2000 that since 2012 is part of the Rohde & Schwarz electronics group. Prior to that, he worked 16 years with Radio Network development at Sweden's leading mobile operator TeliaSonera. He holds a degree in electrical engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.

Mr. Arnd Sibila

Arnd Sibila joined Rohde & Schwarz in 2012 as Technology Marketing Manager for Wireless Technologies and led the Infrastructure Global Key Account Manager group. Since 2016, he has focused on Technology Marketing for the Mobile Network Testing market segment.

Previously, Arnd gained 21 years of experience at Siemens Communications and Nokia Siemens Networks where he held various technical and management positions in the field of Wireless Communication Systems and Mobile Networks Product Lifecycle (Product Management, Product Line Management, System Architecture, CTO, Business Development, Portfolio Management and Product Qualification) covering nearly all wireless technologies (LTE-Advanced, LTE, WCDMA/HSPA, WiMAX, WiFi, etc.).

Dr. Kashif Mahmood

Dr. Kashif Mahmood, Telenor - Guest speaker

Dr. Kashif Mahmood is a Senior Research Scientist with Telenor Research, Norway.

He received his Master’s degree from GIK Institute, Pakistan and Ph.D. degree from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway. Kashif has contributed to a number of European research projects. He is the technical manager of FUDGE-5G project (https://fudge-5g.eu/en) and deputy technical manager of 5G-VINNI project (https://www.5g-vinni.eu/). His current research interests include design of next-generation network architecture and performance analysis of wireless networks. Dr. Mahmood is a recipient of the "Youth Award" in Science in Technology from the Government of Pakistan and "Excellence Award" from the National Engineering and Scientific Commission, Pakistan.

Dr. Ole Grøndalen

Dr. Ole Grøndalen, Telenor - Guest speaker

Dr. Ole Grøndalen is a Senior Research Scientist at Telenor Research.

He received a Master of Science degree in physics from the University of Oslo in 1987 and a dr.philos. degree from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in 2019. His research covers satellite and terrestrial broadcasting systems, broadband wireless access systems and mobile radio technologies. He has participated in standardization activities within the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), IEEE and WiMAX Forum. He has published more than 30 conference and journal papers. His current interests include interference control in heterogeneous networks and use of mm-wave frequencies in mobile networks.
