The R&S CMX500 radio communication tester is adding the next radio interface to its technology coverage, namely Wi-Fi. This enables users of the Rohde & Schwarz one-box tester to test the non-cellular interface up to the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard in addition to the cellular 4G and 5G interfaces of a device.
This demo showcases the first 5G test cases in FR1, where the CMX500 one-box tester (OBT) is connected to the Device Under Test (DUT) to simulate specified test scenarios that integrate base stations and satellites.
The first episode of a new video series will take a look at where 5G is today, explore the unique challenges for test and measurement and discover innovative solutions such as the R&S CMX500 radio communication tester.
The CMX500 OBT creates a signaling environment by transmitting an FR3 cell signal at 13 GHz, simulating real-world conditions, and conducts a comprehensive analysis to verify the device's ability to achieve maximum throughput, making the CMX500 OBT the ideal choice for FR3 research and development.
The web-based GUI application controls the R&S®CMX500 radio communication test platform and enables to perform these measurements in parallel with end-to-end (E2E) tests and with power controlling the 5G device.
