Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity launches its DevSecOps community site for DevSecOps teams
Munich, February 2, 2021 - Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity, the IT security expert, today announced the launch of its community site for DevSecOps teams. This site reinforces the DevSecOps strategy of Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity and supports the recent launch of its new R&S®Trusted Application Factory solution.
From DevOps to DevSecOps
Today, many organizations are adopting a continuous integration and deployment approach. Now, the cycle has become shorter, thanks in particular to DevOps, which relies on automation and the pooling of complementary skills to increase the added value and responsiveness of companies. Indeed, a major turning point is taking place in this market, aimed at helping DevOps teams integrate application security right from the design phase, by integrating control capabilities within the code itself of their APIs and applications.
Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity has been offering Web Application Firewall (WAF) technologies for about twenty years, is now making its technologies consumable by developers with R&S Trusted Application Factory, officially announced on October 8, 2020. This protection solution is deployed as a container attached to each cloud-native application and is intended for DevSecOps teams.
A site dedicated to DevSecOps teams
As part of the recent launch of the R&S Trusted Application Factory, Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity is making its new community website official: https://dev-appsec.rohde-schwarz.com. This site is aimed at application developers, cloud and security experts, business operational teams in charge of security and digital transformation, as well as IT and business executives who have set up agile processes, "Digital Factories”, or are in the process of doing so within their company. The goal of the new platform is to allow DevSecOps teams to achieve their daily tasks. The objective is to enable users to learn about the latest trends and news in application security, to exchange with a community of developers and application security experts, but also to share their knowledge and best practices in developing and deploying secure applications.
Users will thus be actors of this community through the Forum (available in March) and will be able to benefit from the expertise of their peers in order to carry out their missions successfully. A large number of articles, discussions and documentation will be available and updated regularly.
