The latest version of R&S Trusted Gate by Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity now supports Microsoft Teams. For customers with particularly high security standards, such as the public sector or customers from regulated industries and verticals, it will be possible now to choose the high-security solution R&S Trusted Gate as an integral part of any data handling in Microsoft Teams. Through its file virtualization process and the distributed storage of original data, R&S Trusted Gate allows to comply with the strict data protection regulations and company guidelines for handling confidential documents.

Munich, October 30, 2019 – With the security solution R&S Trusted Gate, the functions of Microsoft Teams can be used with the highest security requirements for a smooth project collaboration. This is especially important for companies and authorities working under high security regulations.

These security regulations will now be easier to maintain when working in Microsoft Teams, because with the new version of R&S Trusted Gate users automatically keep full control of their data. Through the file virtualization process and the ability to define the flow of the real data R&S Trusted Gate guarantees secure worldwide collaboration while keeping regulated data in defined regions. The transparent background encryption and distributed storage of documents supports the retention of existing workflows.

For customers with high security requirements, it is possible to choose R&S Trusted Gate as an integral part of any data exchange within Microsoft Teams. Whether in project channels, chats or conversations - with the multi-level security concept of R&S Trusted Gate, users of Microsoft Teams uses only virtual copies of their data in SharePoint Online and Microsoft OneDrive for Business. The original data is encrypted and fragmented either in a multi-layered storage system on-premises or stored in different clouds. The content of the data is thus never made accessible to the provider of the public cloud. R&S Trusted Gate seamlessly integrates with popular public cloud storage systems such as Microsoft Azure, Google, AWS, and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint, ensuring the highest level of security and control when using these platforms. Legal requirements and compliance rules can also easily be implemented in global cloud environments. R&S Trusted Gate runs transparently in existing applications, so that workflows remain unchanged.
