Christina Gessner

Christina Gessner is Executive Vice President and Head of the Test & Measurement Division at Rohde & Schwarz. Previously, she led the Spectrum and network analyzer, EMC & antenna test departments in the test and measurement division. From 2004 until 2018 she held various positions at Rohde & Schwarz, initially in strategic marketing, followed by application development, product management, and product development.

She began her career with Siemens mobile communications, representing the company as delegate to the 3GPP standardization process for UMTS and GSM/EDGE from 1998 – 2004. She holds a degree in RF engineering from the University of Hanover, Germany.

Michael Fischlein is Vice President Spectrum & Network Analyzers, EMC and Antenna Test Equipment at Rohde & Schwarz. Previously, he served as Senior Director Network And Economy Analyzers, leading the research and development team. From 2000 until 2018 he held various positions in test and measurement at Rohde & Schwarz, initially in analog design of RF frontends, followed by a role as project leader for several economy products. In 2017-2018 he spent a year at the R&S subsidiary in Singapore, working closely with Production, R&D and Sales. Michael holds a degree in RF engineering from the University of applied sciences in Schweinfurt, Germany.

Martin Randrup Villadsen (B.Sc. EE from Aarhus University) is an EMC solution specialist at Rohde & Schwarz. He supports Nordic customers with design, implementation and training for EMC test solutions in automotive, military, marine, industrial and residential applications.

Prior to Rohde & Schwarz, Martin was head of the EMC department at Force Technologies, formly known as Delta. Martin worked intensively with EMC at Force Technologies and therefore has great experience in operating and establishing EMC facilities and various EMC systems.

Technical Trainer, Rohde & Schwarz

Harald Jäger is technical trainer for EMC and Metrology at the Rohde & Schwarz training center in Munich. He holds a degree in Electronic engineering from the University of Applied Sciences Ravensburg-Weingarten (Dipl. Ing. (FH)). After joining R&S in 1998 he worked in several positions from service (e.g. repair and calibration) to training, but always related to RF&MW, EMC and metrology.

As an electronic engineer with master thesis, Ismael has built his professional career around radio frequency testing, focused on EMC and radio links in test-houses operating facilities such as anechoic chambers and measurement equipment. Most recently, he is in charge of the Engineering Department of Alter Technology and is committed to the development of facilities oriented toward space industry customers.

Mr Jürgen Kausche is a Product manager for EMC and RF systems at Rohde & Schwarz with a special focus on radiated wireless measurements including EMF, EMC, Radiated Spurious Emissions (RSE). From 2006-2020, he was a Member of German EMF standardization working group DKE. Prior to this, Juergen also supported design and development of specialized broadband antenna and turnkey antenna systems.

Mr. Alexander Scholl is a Product manager for regulatory test systems and OTA Full Vehicle Test systems at Rohde & Schwarz with a special focus on RED for ETSI and FCC in 2,4, 5, 6 GHz bands. Prior to this, he also held roles in business development and Sales and Applications.

Mr. Feng Xie has over 20 years working experience at Rohde & Schwarz. As Market segment manager, he focuses on trends of the wireless communication technologies, global regulatory test requirements and test & measurement techniques for these standards. Mr. Xie previously worked as R&D engineer and application manager. He holds several international patents in wireless communication test & measurement area.

Dimitrios Barakos has specialized in both Electrical Power Systems (MSc degree 2014, Technical University of Athens, Greece) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (MSc degree in Electrical Engineering 2017, Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands). Since 2019 Dimitrios has been an R&D engineer at joined Comtest Engineering, where he is heavily involved in concept & development of various EMC and RF/Antenna test facilities (with a special focus on Reverberation Chambers).

Garth D'Abreu

Director of Automotive Solutions, ETS-Lindgren

Garth D’Abreu is the Director, Automotive Solutions at ETS-Lindgren based at the corporate headquarters office in Cedar Park, Texas. He currently has primary responsibility for the design and development functions within the Systems Engineering group, specializing in turn-key solutions for Automotive EMC, Wireless and OTA test integration. Mr. D’Abreu is a senior member of the IEEE EMC Society and active participant in standards development, including the SAE, ISO and CISPR D automotive EMC standards, with over 32 years of experience in the RF industry. He holds a BSc degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering, from North London University, UK.

Jens Medler joined Rohde & Schwarz in 1996. He is responsible for the standardization and application support of EMI test receivers and accessories for both hardware and software and is active member of various CISPR Subcommittees since 1999. He also holds a Senior membership in the IEEE EMC Society and is acting vice chair of the societies Standards Development and Education Committee. He is recipient of the IEC 1906 Award.

His CISPR activities include CIS/A on EMC measurement instrumentation and methods, CIS/D on equipment on vehicles and internal combustion engine powered devices and CIS/I on information technology equipment, multimedia equipment and receivers. Since October 2017 he is acting as convenor of CIS/A WG2; the CISPR Working Group on EMC measurement methods, statistical techniques and uncertainty.

As a product manager, Reiner Goetz takes responsibility for the EMC test and automation software products. Designing automotive turnkey test systems, he is familiar with the requirements and constraints that test labs and engineers face when efficiency in EMC testing is the key. Reiner has been working for Rohde & Schwarz for more than 20 years in several positions.

Wolfram Titze

Dr. Wolfram Titze, C.Eng., MIEE, Berlin Germany, graduated from Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen. Following his PhD in electronic engineering from University College London in 1993, he joined Robert Bosch GmbH where he became head of the department multimedia systems development, and represented the company in standardization bodies for Digital Audio Broadcasting.

After 3 years working for a start-up company as Director of Product Development und Deputy Vice-President Systems, he joined Rohde & Schwarz FTK in 2003 as head of customer projects and production planning. In 2007 he became Head of Amplifier Systems of the broadcast division. He has subsequently served in several managerial roles responsible for product management and technical sales for broadcast and amplifier solutions. He is now principal product manager for amplifier systems and participating in DKE and IEC EMC standardization groups.

Bob DeLisi is an EMC and wireless Principal Engineer at UL Solutions. Bob has been with UL for over 30 years in the EMC-Wireless business. He is a Telecommunications Certification Body for the Federal Communication Commission, Foreign Certification Body for ISED Canada and is a Notified Body under both the EMC and Radio Equipment Directives.

Bob is the current Chair of American National Standards Committee C63® for EMC. He is also a member of the IECEE’s Committee of Testing Laboratories Expert Task Force for EMC. Bob holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and is a NARTE Certified EMC Laboratory Engineer.

Arturo Mediano is the founder of The HF-Magic Lab®, a specialized laboratory for design, diagnostic, troubleshooting, and training for EMI/EMC and Signal Integrity for RF, at I3A (University of Zaragoza). He received his M.Sc. (1990) and his Ph. D. (1997) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Zaragoza (Spain), where he has held a teaching professorship in EMI/EMC/RF/SI since 1992. For more than 30 years Arturo has been involved in R&D projects with many companies in the EMI/EMC, Signal Integrity and RF fields for communications, industry, medical, and scientific applications. He regularly shares his knowledge and expertise with students and engineers in teaching courses and seminars.
