Your tasks

  • Analyze requirements, define DSP algorithms and optimize for real-time performances on FPGA hardware for radio communication measurement instruments.
  • Design and implement efficient and optimized DSP algorithms for FPGA implementation, consider high speed and RF interfaces and constraints, while keeping to hardware schematics and interface protocols required.
  • Perform simulations and verification of the DSP using software tools (eg: Matlab).
  • Translate DSP algorithms into VHDL code for FPGA implementation.
  • Perform synthesis, routing and timing closure for FPGA designs.
  • Integrate FPGA designs with software and hardware components, including RF interfaces and ensuring signal integrity.
  • Conduct hardware testing and debug FPGA design, troubleshoot complex hardware and interfaces issues.
  • Document design concept, algorithms and test procedures.

Your qualifications

  • PhD/Master's/Degree in Electrical/ Electronic/ Communication/ Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in digital signal processing (DSP) algorithm design and implementation of high speed applications.
  • Good understanding of communication system theory, modulation, demodulation, digital down conversion, wide band processing, coding and filtering techniques, signal integrity, timing analysis and power management.
  • Proficiency in hardware description languages, FPGA development tools and methodologies.
  • Experienced with fixed and floating-point for real-time embedded systems.
  • Experienced with hardware schematic design, interface protocols, and handled hardware and embedded firmware integration challenges. Demonstrated ability in using instruments such as generators and oscilloscopes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong in written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast paced environment.
  • Good work ethic with ability to collaborate cross functionally and adhere to deadlines to ensure successful product development.
