Manufacturing : Product Sustaining Engineer

Your tasks

• Manage Component Lifecycles: Take ownership of End-of-Life (EOL) component replacements. Identify, test, and qualify alternative components to ensure zero supply chain disruption.
• Drive Root Cause Analysis: Drive investigations into field failures and manufacturing defects. Perform deep-dive failure analysis to identify root causes and implement permanent corrective actions to enhance product performance.
• Optimize for Manufacturing: Work closely with production teams to resolve yield issues for existing product lines.
• Maintain Compliance: Ensure legacy products remain compliant with updated safety, EMI/EMC, and environmental standards.
• Update Technical Documentation: Keep BOMs, schematics, PCB layouts, and test procedures accurate and up to date through Engineering Change Notice (ECNs).
• Collaboration: Collaborate with R&D to implement design changes, influence new product development based on field experience, and support new product introductions.

Your qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field with a solid understanding of RF or Power Electronics principles.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in one electronic field: Sustaining engineering, hardware design, product testing, RF technology or product development
• For RF: Understanding of RF circuit principles and signal chain architecture (e.g. PLL, local oscillator, transceiver operation and digital communication)
• For Power Electronics: Understanding of Switch Mode Power Supply (SMPS) topologies (e.g., Buck, Boost, Flyback, Forward, LLC resonant converters).
• Hardware Lifecycle Management: Ability to read schematics, review PCB layouts, and select alternative components for End-of-Life (EOL) replacements or cost-reduction initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with test equipment and electronics measurement tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with international teams.
• Ability to create clear technical reports in English.
