Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity and roda computer with new IT security package for rugged notebooks and tablets

IT security expert Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity has teamed up with roda computer, Panasonic's sales partner in Germany, to offer a new IT security package for customers in the security and defense sector.

The package for notebooks and tablets consists of a combination of robust mobile hardware and R&S®Trusted Disk, the full-disk encryption, approved up to classification level VS-NfD (RESTRICTED).

In the security and defense industry, protecting hardened IT against adverse operating conditions alone has long been insufficient. That's why IT security expert Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity and hardened IT and electronics solutions expert roda computer are pooling their expertise and jointly providing a new IT security package.

The security system for notebooks and tablets is adapted to the increasing demand for comprehensive IT security solutions in the security and defense industry. It consists of robust devices from the roda and Panasonic product range, which are certified according to IP protection classes (IP65) as well as MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD461G and have temperature protection according to the German zone model (BSI) or the international radiation test method according to SDIP-27. The devices are encrypted with the full-disk encryption R&S Trusted Disk, approved up to classification level VS-NfD (RESTRICTED) by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). R&S Trusted Disk was developed on the basis of the latest specifications of the German Federal Office for Information Security and includes modern random number generation as well as flexible encryption according to time and data volume to constantly maintain the high security level. In addition to the data, the entire operating system and even the temporary files are encrypted - R&S Trusted Disk uses a transparent encryption method in real time that maintains the productivity of the devices without disruptions.

When a connection to a RESTRICTED-organizational network is required via untrusted connections, R&S Trusted VPN Client provides support. Its unique Zero-Trust-to-Windows approach enables security and trustworthiness independent of the operating system, while ensuring high flexibility with regard to the end device platform.

The new IT security package will be presented at the AFCEA trade show in Bonn from May 11-12, 2022, at the Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity booth in Foyer F10 and by roda computer in Foyer F05 at the World Conference Center Bonn.
