Rohde & Schwarz is seeking a highly motivated, results oriented Application Engineer based in Atlanta, GA. As an Application Engineer, you’ll provide solutions to complex problems faced by engineers and scientists designing and building today’s most advanced electronic solutions. Working alongside our sales, marketing, and R&D teams, you will be demonstrating products, providing training, and delivering technical support to our wide-ranging customer base. By functioning as a consultative solutions provider, our Application Engineers are often treated as an extension of the customer’s internal technical teams. Your tasks

Technical support for RF and microwave Test and Measurement instruments
Pre/Post-sales support, including customer demonstrations
Support and consulting of customer test plan implementation and development
Develop and present local seminars and customer training sessions
Contribute to the creation of white papers, application notes, and professional articles
Provide technical feedback to product developers

Your qualifications

B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering
5 years' + in RF or Microwave test / design
Experience working with test and measurement equipment including Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Vector Network Analyzers
Experience in the test and evaluation of advanced RF and microwave systems
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer interface skills
Willing to travel 40% within region and occasional international travel
Excellent problem-solving skills

The total compensation for this position is $110K-$200K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
