Is there a way to find out if the HMC8012 is over driven via remote instruction?
For easy test purposes - to check the remote commands please use the HMExplorer
https://www.rohde-schwarz.com/software/hmc8015/
Using the instruction
*IDN?
should produce an answer such as
07:56:54.097 HMC8015< Rohde&Schwarz,HMC8015,036879265,01.403
In case you may send a wrong instruction (just for test purposes) and send *ESR? to ask for the status - the answer may be 32
Asking again *ESR?: The answer should be 0
Test 1: manually set the voltage range to 5V, the voltage connected should be < 7 V
Please use
STATus:QUEStionable:CONDition?
the result is 0
Test2: manually set the voltage range to 5V, the voltage connected should be > 7 V
Please use
STATus:QUEStionable:CONDition?
the result is 1
