My SW needs to validate its usage by means of a license available in a Dongle for testing with CMW 270/290/500, which are the requirements?

Firstly, one needs to install the dongle drivers. For Windows 10 PCs, the drivers are typically already embedded, and no additional installation is required. For Windows 7 on the contrary, one needs to get the drivers from the Installation Manager as follows:
Set the right platform under Settings -> Simulation Mode
After installing this file, it is advised to check in Windows Device Manager for the correct detection of the dongle. In addition, one can verify the licenses from the dongle using the R&S License Server Manager, this SW should be automatically installed with the R&S selected SW product such as CMWmars or CMWrun. Here an example on how this could look like for a dongle with SN 101008.
In case of problems seeing the licenses, it may be worth double checking the correct placement of the sim card containing the licenses inside the dongle.
