Mobile XR and personal AI devices, such as glasses and other wearables, are poised to become a key platform for 5G-Advanced and 6G, enabling immersive 3D communications, on-the-go agentic AI assistance, and other powerful use cases. Delivering compelling, low-latency experiences on these devices will require rigorous and realistic testing. At MWC 2026, we demonstrated how an end-to-end testbed centered on the Rohde & Schwarz CMX500 addresses AI on RAN and XR testing challenges with its ability to emulate 4G, 5G, and Wi-Fi networks, and apply both RF and IP impairments to reproduce real-world conditions.
