CERTIUM VCS is a state-of-the-art voice communication system (VCS) for the Air Traffic Control market. CERTIUM VCS provides VoIP telephony for air traffic control operators to communicate air-ground (to aircraft pilots) as well as ground-ground (to other operators/subscribers). Thereby, operators have access to the widest range of features for telephony, radio call, radio control and ATCO role management.
State-of-the-art VoIP system architecture
CERTIUM VCS is a full IP system with a distributed intelligence architecture. Each CERTIUM VCS device has built-in media and signaling processing capabilities and contains a valid copy of the overall communication/dial-plan.
Modular system design
The system is flexible for later upgrades and integration of new services. A scalable pay-as-you-grow system saves costs (OPEX/CAPEX) since the investment can be adjusted to actual needs.
Smoth migration to IP
Future-proof network designs, as found in CERTIUM VCS, allow ANSPs to deploy the targeted all-IP architecture from the start. VoIP gateways ensure interoperability with existing legacy TDM networks and analog radio devices. A full-IP solution uses a common infrastructure for voice, data and any new future applications in ATC/ATM.
