This is a full-time, paid internship opportunity. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in an ISO9001 & ISO17025 accredited professional laboratory setting and contribute to the continued success of our RF Service Lab. In addition, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to: - Learn about RF theory and how it relates to the calibration of RF test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Digital Multi-Meters, etc. - Gain an understanding of metrological practices and how they apply to the maintenance and calibration of equipment - Learn about ESD safety measures and how to properly handle sensitive electronic equipment

Your tasks

Assist with the calibration of RF test equipment, including the use of specialized tools and software
Support the repair and maintenance of equipment as needed
Assist with the organization of the lab, including maintaining inventory and organizing spare parts
Perform routine testing and troubleshooting of equipment
Assist with the creation and update of technical documentation related to calibration procedures
Participate in training and development opportunities as assigned

Your qualifications

Pursuing a degree in electrical engineering or a related field
Knowledge of RF test equipment and principles is preferred
Experience with calibration procedures is a plus
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Interns will be located on site in Columbia, MD.
Relocation/housing is not provided.
To be considered, candidates must be located in the DC/MD area and have US citizenship or permanent work authorization.
