Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant supports the delivery of financial accounting activities for the business including preparation of monthly journals/accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, management of accounts receivable process, and is the Subject Matter Expert on the ERP Financial Accounting module.
Your tasks
- Prepare monthly journals including standard and ad-hoc accruals, depreciation, expense claims, corporate card, freight and other overhead cost allocations.
- Prepare all balance sheet reconciliations including cash, receivables, payables, prepayments, inventory, assets, warranty provision, and deferred revenue.
- Country Subject Matter Expert for SAP ERP FI module and supporting ERP requirements, migration and testing activities.
- Identify aged reconciling items on the balance sheet and work closely with stakeholders to clear on a timely basis.
- Review of monthly overseas intercompany ‘netting’ settlement.
- Prepare monthly 6-month cash-flow forecast for submission to group Treasury.
- Ownership of all accounts receivable related activities including reviewing daily cash reconciliations (receipting), follow-up of aging debtors, and maintenance of customer information on ERP.
- Administrator for company expense management system (Concur), ensuring appropriate expense classifications, and managing approval workflows.
- Manage financial transactions, including reviewing, classifying, and recording of accounting data in accordance with IFRS.
- Prepare and process weekly payment runs to vendors and employee reimbursements.
- Prepare monthly Business Activity Statement.
- Support Finance Manager in documenting business processes and policies to maintain and strengthen financial compliance.
- Support year-end audit and customer audits.
- Mentoring and providing daily direction for Assistant Accountant.
