In a world of frequencies, demand for antennas is growing. Antennas can be large and readily identified but they can also be small and unobtrusive or even fully integrated into a product. The one thing they all share is that they need to be optimized for their intended purpose which leads to a vast variety of antennas.

Rohde & Schwarz has always strived for excellence and has its origins in radio technology. The company started developing antennas early (mid-20th century) to round off its product portfolio and since then has continuously strengthened its antenna development expertise, especially with broadband antenna solutions. R&S antennas are mainly used for communications, monitoring or EMC measurements.

Nowadays especially for radiomonitoring and radiolocation applications the Rohde & Schwarz product line encompasses a wide range of highly sensitive active and passive antennas for mobile and stationary use. These antennas cover the entire frequency range from 100 Hz to 44 GHz and offer outstanding probability of intercept. Our broadband antennas minimize the required number of antennas and can be easily arranged with directional and/or omnidirectional elements to ensure optimum reception of any polarized signal. Monitoring antennas feature high sensitivity and high interference immunity to large signals allowing sensitive radio monitoring and field strength measurements over a wide dynamic range. All antennas can be used under extreme weather conditions.

The rugged and compact design is just as important for communications as high performance and outstanding radiation patterns. An optimized design focused on propagation conditions in the radio frequency range means that Rohde & Schwarz antennas provide highly reliable radio communications. All antennas are optimized in size, weight and maintenance. For special applications, Rohde & Schwarz is even capable of adapting antennas to customer frequency range, environmental data and size requirements.

Rohde & Schwarz measurement antennas have narrow parameter spreads in production. As an accredited manufacturer, we perform -any kind of antenna calibrations (in line with ANSI C63.5, CISPR 16-1-6 or SAE ARP958) on our premises and test sites. Our EMC antennas are highly compliant with specifications and are extremely accurate.
