no / bad GPS signal

Question

What can be the reason for a bad or missing GPS signal at the input of the GPS receiver?

Answer

1. position of antenna (free “view” to satellites, not covered by trees or roof installations)

2. cable connection between GPS antenna and input pf GPS receiver (defective cable or connector, too high attenuation due to cable length)

3. weather conditions (strong rain or snowfall)

4. antenna damaged by lightning strike (check/replace antenna and verify the condition of the lightning protection system at building entrance)

5. wrong configuration of antenna type or GPS / GLONASS in the GPS menu of TCE900
