ITU-compliant spectrum monitoring even in dense spectrum environments

The R&S®EB500 combines a high-performance wideband monitoring receiver with AoA and TDOA radiolocation and signal measurements in line with ITU recommendations (with options). Fast spectrum scan, selective call analysis and digital downconverters are available as options.

ITU-compliant measurements

In line with the recommendations from the ITU-R

The performance of R&S®EB500 is in line with all respective recommendations from the ITU-R. The optional R&S®EB500-IM option allows for ITU-compliant measurements of signal parameters such as bandwidth, center frequency and modulation depth.
 

Polychrome spectrum

Distinguish superimposed, pulsed signals

In polychrome spectrum measurement mode, R&S®EB500 displays the time behavior (frequency of occurrence) of pulsed signals using color coding (for all realtime bandwidths). This helps to distinguish superimposed, pulsed signals.
 

Three additional DDC

3 + 1 receivers in one instrument

R&S®EB500 allows for demodulation and parallel output of audio or I/Q data of up to four signals inside the realtime bandwidth by means of the R&S®EB500-DDC digital downconverter option.
 

Direction finding  

Upgradable to AOA direction finding

R&S®EB500 can be upgraded to automatic angle-of-arrival (AOA) based direction finding (DF) by means of the R&S®EB500-DF direction-finding upgrade kit in combination with R&S®ADDx single-channel DF antennas.
 

Support of TDOA

Radiolocation by means of TDOA

R&S®EB500 allows for radiolocation by means of the time difference on arrival (TDOA) method. The optional R&S®EB5-EGT external GPS module provides for high-accuracy time stamps and GPS synchronization.
