Performance

Excellent displayed average noise level (DANL)

The R&S®Spectrum Rider has a DANL as low as –146 dBm (typ.). A low DANL signifies the analyzer’s ability to capture weak signals. Turn on the preamplifier (option) to further increase the sensitivity to –162 dBm (20 MHz to 3 GHz). Preamplifier options:

  • R&S®Spectrum Rider FPH .02 model: R&S®FPH-B22;
  • R&S®Spectrum Rider FPH .06 model: R&S®FPH-B23;
  • R&S®Spectrum Rider FPH .13/.23 model: R&S®FPH-B24;
  • R&S®Spectrum Rider FPH .26/.36 model: R&S®FPH-B25;
  • R&S®Spectrum Rider FPH .44/.54 model: R&S®FPH-B26;

The preamplifier makes weak signals more visible

Signals too close to the noise floor often go unnoticed. With the preamplifier on, the signal becomes visible, making analysis easier.

Portability

Weighs only from 2.5 kg (model dependent)

The R&S®Spectrum Rider FPH has an ergonomic design, a small form factor and is lightweight. It comes with a convenient side strap to support your hand during the short measurement period. The holster (R&S®HA-Z322) comes with a harness that is carefully designed to equally distribute weight around the body for hands-free operation.
