Recently named by Newsweek as one of the Best American Mid-Sized Workplaces in 2026, Rohde & Schwarz is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Service Quality Supervisor to lead the Quality function for the RSA Service Department. This role combines hands-on quality expertise with team leadership, serving as the critical link between our Service and Quality organizations to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will oversee quality assurance programs and corrective action processes while ensuring compliance with industry standards including ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO/IEC 17025. Your tasks

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Service and Quality; partner with Service Management to design collaborative, operational solutions across TSO, SSO and CSO activities.
  • Oversee metrological traceability and competencies: verify that asset traceability processes are maintained, support the teams that perform calibrations and measurements, and ensure the Accredited Test List is kept current; serve as escalation point and backup resource for metrology activities.
  • Build and operate the Quality Assurance Program (QAP): define the program elements, implement Quality Control checks/inspections, perform certificate reviews and system (ZSSETUP) audits, run internal audits of service operations, and report QAP status to stakeholders.
  • Oversee proficiency testing: identify required tests, own test procedures and documentation, and manage proficiency program execution.
  • Oversee Out‑of‑Specification (OOS) analyses and corrective actions: ensure responsible teams perform root‑cause investigations using QM methods (e.g., 8‑D), review findings and corrective/preventive plans, and step in to lead material investigations when escalation or backup is required
  • Ensure operational compliance with global company guidelines and applicable standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO/IEC 17025); help implement global requirements (e.g., PAD‑Ms) while meeting local needs.
  • Act as Quality Approver for assigned product families (e.g., Airborne Radios) and as the internal clarification point for quality requirements in POs, contracts and customer requirements.
  • Maintain document control from a quality perspective (policies, certificates, quality records) and produce statistical analyses, capability studies and KPI visualizations to drive continuous improvement
  • Prepare, facilitate and participate in audits (internal and external), quality workshops and operational training; serve as co‑auditor where required
