Rohde & Schwarz at Euronaval 2026: Turning platforms into tomorrow’s networked fleet

At Euronaval 2026 in Paris, Rohde & Schwarz highlights the communications, sensing and electromagnetic capabilities that support navies evolve towards more connected and interoperable fleets.

Paris, November 2, 2026 – As navies prepare for increasingly complex operational environments, the ability to connect distributed systems with crewed and uncrewed platforms, exchange information securely and operate reliably in a contested electromagnetic spectrum is becoming ever more important. At Euronaval 2026 in Paris, Rohde & Schwarz showcases the technologies and expertise that support navies address these challenges and lay the foundations for tomorrow’s networked fleet.

The concept of a networked fleet, including future hybrid naval force structures, is gaining importance as navies explore new ways of combining crewed vessels with uncrewed and autonomous systems. Realizing this potential requires more than individual platforms: It depends on secure, resilient communications, effective information exchange and the ability to operate across an increasingly complex electromagnetic environment.

Rohde & Schwarz brings decades of experience in secure communications, signal intelligence (SIGINT), electromagnetic warfare (EW), and test & measurement to these challenges. At Euronaval, the company demonstrates how its existing technologies can support the evolution towards more connected naval capabilities. Visitors can meet the Rohde & Schwarz team at booth 6K61 from November 3 to 6, 2026.

“Turning platforms into tomorrow’s networked fleet is a challenge that requires close collaboration between navies and technology partners,” says Bastian Ebeling, Director Product Management Systems Naval Communications, Rohde & Schwarz. “There is no single solution that will make a future networked fleet a reality. What we bring is a strong technological foundation, deep expertise in the electromagnetic spectrum and the ability to integrate complex systems. We work with our customers to address today’s challenges and help shape the capabilities that tomorrow’s fleets will require.”

At Euronaval 2026, Rohde & Schwarz will present its portfolio for the naval domain, spanning secure and interoperable communications, intelligence and electromagnetic warfare, and solutions that support connectivity between all platforms in a multi domain environment. Its capabilities include resilient tactical communications for distributed command and control, satellite and airborne links for beyond-line-of-sight connectivity, and signal processing and analysis technologies. Test and measurement solutions complement this portfolio, helping customers develop, validate and maintain complex communications and electromagnetic systems.

Note to Editors

Building a networked fleet requires technologies that can work together across platforms, systems and operational environments. Rohde & Schwarz’ high degree of vertical integration, with expertise spanning components through to complete systems, provides a strong basis for addressing these integration challenges. By combining in-house development and manufacturing with experience across the electromagnetic spectrum, the company can support customers in connecting existing capabilities and evaluating the technologies needed for future operational concepts.

As navies explore increasingly connected, distributed and autonomous force structures, Rohde & Schwarz aims to be a reliable long-term technology partner — helping customers navigate complex requirements, build on existing capabilities and develop the foundations for tomorrow’s networked fleet.

Naval operations are evolving in response to increasingly complex threat environments, new technologies and the growing importance of information superiority. Secure communications, reliable data exchange and control of the electromagnetic spectrum are central to enabling effective coordination across distributed forces.

Navies are also exploring future force structures that combine crewed vessels with uncrewed and autonomous systems. Often discussed under concepts, such as, e.g. hybrid navy or hybrid fleet, these approaches place new demands on connectivity, interoperability, information management and electromagnetic warfare. Their implementation will depend on the successful integration of multiple technologies and capabilities, rather than on any single system.

Rohde & Schwarz contributes established expertise in secure communications, SIGINT, electromagnetic warfare, signal processing and test and measurement. These technologies provide important building blocks for addressing the challenges of increasingly networked naval operations. Working closely with its customers, the company aims to help shape the technological foundations required to connect today's platforms with the networked fleets of tomorrow.
