For 5G and 5G Advanced, the 3GPP consortium has been playing a pivotal role in establishing the framework for integrating non-terrestrial networks (NTN) with terrestrial mobile communications. However, there remains a pressing demand for optimization, primarily within terrestrial mobile communications and their associated signal types, which are used for links to and from satellites.
