HM8112 - how to read out the current measurement value?

Question

I try to control my HM8112 by remote connection. I can not request the actual measurement value (like VOLT? in SCPI).

How can i perform a remote measurement?

It is not clearly described in the manual, that the single trigger command returns a measurement value. To remotely read out the current valus, simply use the command "0161".

It is described as the command, that defines the trigger modes. In the manual you can also find the following information:

"Single trigger operation will not cause any storage of results either in the buffer or in the results memory. "

This is the reason, why it will not work when reading out the buffer.

The command "0161" not only sets the single trigger mode, it also returns the current readout:
