Extending the frequency range to 1.1 THz

The R&S®ZCxxx mmWave converters extend the R&S®ZNA, R&S®ZVA or R&S®ZVT frequency ranges up to 1.1 THz and allow measurements in the frequency range from 50 GHz to 1100 GHz (WR15, WR12, WM-2540, WM-2032, WM-1651, WM-1295, WM-1092, WM-864, WM-710, WM-570, WM-380 and WM-250). They feature a wide dynamic range and high output power. Plus, they are very convenient to operate with highly stable measurements.

Frequency conversion

  • Frequency-converting measurements in amplitude and phase-on downconverters and mixers
  • Setups with two different converter bands when measuring harmonics

Dual-source intermodulation measurements

Intermodulation measurements require a 2-tone signal, which can be generated either by two identical R&S®ZCxxx converters and a Magic-Tee for combining the tones or by a dual source converter. A R&S®ZCDSxxx dual source converter features two RF inputs and multiplier chains, plus an internal combiner. At the converter output, the 2-tone signal can be used for intermodulation testing versus frequency or power.
