A Sales Engineer is an engineer with a focus on working with our customers to solve problems with Rohde & Schwarz solutions when applicable. They are knowledgeable on our products, industry requirements, and customer needs. They act as a consultant to our customers for everyone's benefit and focus on fostering long standing relationships.

An Application Engineer is an engineer who specializes in Rohde & Schwarz solutions and how a customer may use them. With deep technical knowledge and strong communication skills, they help to qualify customers technical requirements and support customers post sale.

This is an engineering role charged with designing customer specific solutions. This position works closely with sales, business development, mechanical engineering, and production to design, build, test and deliver complex T&M solutions into a wide range of customers and markets.

This is an engineering role charged with supporting our Defense Security and Critical Infrastructure organization with Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems. You will be assisitng with gathering customer requirements, preparing and supporting internal and customer demonstrations, as well as supporting engineering proposals and technical documentation.

It depends! The GDP hires for a variety of roles that have differing expectations and job duties. Most roles have a balance of in person and at home work but the specifics of each role can be clarified during the interview process. In person requirements may include visiting customers locally or going into a local R&S office if one is near your area. We do expect our field teams to live where our customers are so depending on the role you are hired for you will need to live in a reasonable proximity to that area to make required visits.

Every day is different and evolves as the year progresses! In the beginning your focus will be on training but you will begin to transition to projects and field engagements as the year goes on. By the end of the year, you will be actively involved in your local region visiting customers and supporting business activities which are constantly changing based on customer needs. This job is truly dynamic.

Yes this is a full-time salaried position with great benefits (PTO, healthcare, 401K match, etc.)

We are flexible for relocation but do expect that you live in your hired area by January.

While Electrical and Computer Engineering most closely align with our business we do not require those degrees for our Sales Engineering positions. Any engineering discipline is applicable as long as you have the interest and desire to learn about our products and our customers applications. We have had successful Sales Engineers from all engineering disciplines.

For Application Engineering EE/CE is the preferred degree.

No! Very few degree programs even Electrical and Computer Engineering programs cover RF in depth at the undergraduate level. And while many people have used T&M equipment in school we don’t expect a high level of experience from our applicants. We fully expect to train you in both what is RF and how to use T&M equipment. Of course prior knowledge and familiarity is a plus it is not a requirement of the position.
