We deliver turnkey RF solutions to various customers ranging from the commercial market to the aerospace and defense sectors. Our systems are integrated into a wide variety of solutions including EMC anechoic test chambers, vehicles, and ranges. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Shop Floor Expeditor and Kitting Clerk to join our dynamic operations team in our Frederick, Maryland facility. A Shop Floor Expeditor and Kitting Clerk acts as a critical link in the manufacturing supply chain, ensuring that materials, parts, and documentation are accurately gathered ("kitted") and delivered to the production floor on time to meet manufacturing schedules. This role combines inventory control, material handling, and production coordination to prevent workflow delays and bottlenecks. This is a great opportunity to learn about supply chain management and contribute to a world-class manufacturing operation. This is a full-time position requiring being in the office 5 days per week.

Your tasks

  • Transport materials, parts, and sub-assemblies between warehouse storage, inventory, and various production work centers.
  • Identify material shortages or production bottlenecks and take action to resolve them, such as prioritizing specific jobs or tracking down missing items.
  • Monitor production schedules and collaborate with department supervisors to ensure work is completed on time.
  • Act as a liaison between production, purchasing, and warehouse departments to communicate material changes or shortages.
  • Pull, package, generate labels, and stage materials, components, and hardware according to bills of materials (BOMs) and production work orders.
  • Perform cycle counts, maintain accurate inventory counts, and use ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP) to scan or record stock movements.
  • Verify that materials are correct, undamaged, and meet quality standards before sending them to the shop floor.
  • Ensure all necessary assembly instructions, drawings, and quality control documents are included in the kits using designated software.

Your qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or some college coursework preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or inventory control environment (internships considered).
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • High level of accuracy in counting and verifying part numbers to prevent assembly errors.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software and procedures.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control principles is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus but not required (training will be provided).
  • U.S. Citizenship or permanent work authorization required. Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. • Ability to lift and carry up to 30–40 pounds. • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive tasks.

The total compensation for this position is $20-$27 per hour. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
