View IETD publications created by the German armed forces (Bundeswehr) with BESTD.
Specialized software version for Bundeswehr suppliers: R&S®IETDView Autark Bw is a version of R&S®IETDView Autark that can be used to import publication packages created by the Bundeswehr with BESTD. The product allows the Bundeswehr to provide their suppliers with IETDs created with BESTD, e.g. for testing and corrective maintenance.
Importing S1000D documentation: The R&S®IETDImporter Bw software enables users to import and view BESTD IETD publication packages in R&S®IETDView Autark Bw. These BESTD publication packages can only be imported from external data storage media (USB flash drive, CD, etc.). A single R&S®IETDView Autark Bw installation can import and manage an unlimited number of IETD packages.
Database selection: When installing R&S®IETDView Autark Bw, you can select either the Microsoft Access or IBM Db2 database. The compact MS Access database is big enough for small data volumes. Db2 is recommended for larger projects and should be installed beforehand.
Publication management: You can use R&S®IETDImporter Bw to manage IETDs for viewing in R&S®IETDView Autark Bw. The application is primarily for viewing locally imported IETD packages. When you connect to an external data storage medium, you see all new and updated IETD packages and can import them into R&S®IETDView Autark Bw with a single click. You can delete unneeded IETDs at any time.
Security: All publication packages created with BESTD are encrypted, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Working autonomously: R&S®IETDView Autark Bw is intended for Bundeswehr suppliers with no direct connection to a BESTD source server. It can be used in a local network to read imported publications on other computers or tablets.
