Lead the design, integration, and evolution of high‑performance AESA radar systems in mission‑critical applications.

Your tasks

  • In this role, you will define radar operational modes, including mode entry and exit criteria as well as inter‑mode transitions.
  • You design, implement, and test phased‑array beamformers for X‑band and SATCOM applications.
  • You integrate phased‑array AESA systems with wideband SDR transceivers and control both the AESA and transceiver through software‑based interfaces.
  • You integrate software and hardware components, performing debugging and troubleshooting to resolve system‑level issues.
  • You document hardware designs and system architectures and present results to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • You participate in requirements definition, design reviews, and code reviews to ensure high‑quality hardware development and system integration.
  • You interface with internal and external customers to address problem reports, deliver resolutions, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • You train and mentor junior software engineers in phased‑array AESA techniques, algorithm development, and engineering best practices, fostering a collaborative and growth‑oriented team environment.

Your qualifications

  • You hold a Degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
  • You have experience with pulsed, pulse‑Doppler, monopulse tracking, FMCW, and code‑based FMCW radar systems.
  • You demonstrate strong knowledge of antenna technologies, including Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESA), hybrid antenna systems, and parabolic antennas.
  • You possess strong programming skills in C++, C, Fortran, MATLAB, and/or Python.
  • You have a thorough understanding of the full hardware and software development lifecycle, including configuration management and quality assurance processes.
  • You bring experience with ground‑based and portable radar systems, including systems for small aircraft or man‑portable applications (a plus).
  • You communicate effectively in fluent written and spoken English.
  • You are willing to travel approximately 15% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
