Highly reliable mobile HF antenna

The R&S®AK503 mobile HF antenna has been designed especially for mobile use. Short installation and disassembly times and low space requirements for installation and transport have been combined with good electrical characteristics. The optimized design focuses on propagation conditions in the medium-wave and shortwave range, enabling the antenna to provide highly reliable radiocommunications.

Three operating modes

For coverage of all distance ranges

The R&S®AK503 has three operating modes optimized for specific frequencies and distance ranges. One mode even switches to an additional vertical radiator for ground waves. Switching between modes is performed manually at the antenna head when setting up the system.

Omnidirectional coverage with high-angle radiation

No skip zone

The R&S®AK503 has horizontally mounted radiators for high-angle radiation with omnidirectional coverage. The covered range of elevation angles eliminates medium distance skip zones.

Quick installation

For easy mounting and retrofitting

The R&S®AK503 is mainly used for radiocommunications on mobile units. Quick installation is crucial on such missions. The antenna design enables installation within approx. 10 min.
