Software Development : Software Architect (m/f/d) for 5G / 6G Device Software

Your tasks

• Responsible for designing and maintaining software architectures and deriving software requirements for our Core Software Platform.
• Creating, documenting, and implementing the architecture for new and existing software concepts specific to our device software.
• Guiding development teams and creating guidelines for code quality and programming best practices; ensuring the implementation of scalable solutions.
• Opportunities to contribute across various areas according to your strengths through our agile setup, leading to autonomous design decisions.
• Collaborating in teams using modern methodologies such as Scrum; ensuring the continuous development of scalable and testable "Clean Code” solutions.
• Optimize existing platform software using modern design patterns.
• Utilizing Yocto Linux, Docker, Google Test, Ansible among others to advance our software ecosystem.

Your qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Master's or higher).
• Several years of professional experience as an architect in an industrial environment, demonstrating a solid foundation in software development principles and embedded systems.
• Exceptional proficiency in designing software systems, with a proven track record of implementing scalable applications within complex architectures; experience in modularizing existing software systems is a plus.
• In-depth programming skills in an object-oriented language such as C/C++ within a (Embedded-) Linux environment.
• You have a natural ability to inspire others and communicate effectively across teams and organizations.
• Demonstrated expertise in Linux operating systems and the modern open-source ecosystems, enabling strategic make-or-buy decisions.
• Familiarity with tools/paradigms of modern infrastructure (e.g., logging, secrets management monitoring, tracing and alerting).
• Excellent English skills, both written and spoken.
