Is it possible to implement a turntable which can be controlled using the EMC32 software with my EMI Receiver?
There are a couple of turntables you can use with EMC32. There is an overview of all available turntables on EMC32 CD ROM and in EMC32 download image available. The overview gives you device name, supported inferfaces and the minimum firmware version:
To add a Turntable to your system, run EMC32, open 'Extras' => 'Device List'
and move the device you want to add from the list on the left side to the list of Configured Devices using the "arrow" tile.
From the list of Configured Devices you can edit the Turntable settings (remote interface, properties, ...)
If everything is well set, you can add the turntable to your EMC32 Hardware Setup.
If your turntable is not listed, you can use a Generic Turntable. Add Generic Turntable in the same way as explained before.
With a right mouse click and "edit" you can adapt the device to your needs. Generic Turntable comes with one more facet. This facet is called "Device Strings" and allows you to add the remote control commands from the manual of your custom device to EMC32.
There is an example of a custom device called "Siepel", which can be loaded via "Import Settings". This is only an example, the device strings for your customer device can be different, please refer to the manual of your custom device to find out more.
Once you have entered all strings into EMC32, you can use the "Test" facet to check the function of the commands before you start your first test.
