EMC32 with Angle Offset for the second Antenna Mast

Question

I would like to use two antennas for my EMI Auto Test. The second Antenna has an Angle Offset to the first Antenna. because of this all my Turntable results for the second Antnnna Mast Question are shifted to some degrees. Is it allowed to use more than one Antenna Mast in one Hardware Setup? And how can I add an Angle Offset for the second Antenna Mast?

Answer

This is possible. At first, I would create two antennas with two Antenna Masts in EMC32 Device List.

For the Antenna Mast, you can define an "Angle Offset" in the "Properties" for the Mast.
The Angle Offset is the offset of the EMI antenna to the turntable home position (0 deg). It will be added to the current azimuth of each turntable position.
This does mean you have to define an offset in degrees, which is automatically taken into account by EMC32.
In the example below the first Antenna is placed in turntable home position. This antenna gets an offset of 0 degrees:

The second antenna is assigned the corresponding offset in degrees. In the example below we have an offset of 36 degrees:

For an EMI test, the Hardware Setup looks like te following:

EMC32 is able to use a second antenna in a Hardware Setup. In the Hardware Setup click on "Add Subrange" to define a second subrange. After this, please do a right-click on the antenna symbol to select a new antenna in offest position for the new subrange.

Since both antennas are included in a test, at the end you will get one result table, which includes the final results with both antennas. The offset is taken into account, the angle values of the turntable are corrected as necessary.
