I have ordered a new FSL-Kxx software option for the FSL. How can I install the new
software option on my FSL?

Answer
First of all, we recommend that you install the latest FSL firmware. You can
download the firmware update from the product-specific R&S website. While
the firmware update is running, a dialog box will come up with the available
installation packages. Please make sure that you select the appropriate
FSL-Kxx application software in this dialog.
After the application software has been installed, you only have to enable the new
option via key code entry.
The key code is always delivered with the option. The key code is needed to
activate the new option.
To activate the option for your FSL, please proceed as follows:
- Make sure that the model and serial numbers of your FSL
(see SETUP => MORE => SYSTEM INFO => HARDWARE INFO)
match the model and serial numbers indicated on the option delivered.
- Go to SETUP => MORE => OPTION LICENSES => INSTALL OPTION.
- Enter the key code using the keypad.
- Press ENTER.
- If the key code is correct, the message 'option key valid' is displayed. If
the key code was wrong, the option is not installed.
