Why am I not able to run a Data Application with only my Mobile Phone and the CMU200?

I have the CMU-K96 Data Application option. Why am I not able to run a data application with only my mobile phone and the CMU200?

Answer

The CMU200 includes an FTP server, but the mobile phone needs an HTTP server.

To run a data application, you have the following two alternatives, but in each case you need an additional PC.

1) You connect the mobile phone to a PC and you use the mobile phone as the modem. You can then perform an FTP download from the CMU200 to your PC.

2) You connect a PC (with HTTP server) to the CMU200. You can then connect the mobile phone to the HTTP server via the CMU200.
