Our systems are integrated into a wide variety of solutions including EMC anechoic test chambers, vehicles, and ranges. We are looking for a talented warehouse manager to join our world-class operations team and contribute to the continued delivery of these high-quality products.
Rohde & Schwarz is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mid-Level Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dynamic warehouse environment. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of high-value test and measurement equipment. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong understanding of warehouse best practices, excellent organizational skills, and proven experience with SAP inventory management. You will be responsible for leading a team, maintaining a safe and productive work environment, and contributing to the overall success of the supply chain.
Your tasks
- Warehouse Operations Management: Directly oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing and inventory control.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate a team of warehouse associates. This includes performance management, scheduling, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Receiving: Manage the receiving inspection process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards. outbound shipping activities, coordinating with carriers and ensuring timely delivery. Resolve any shipping/receiving discrepancies.
- Inventory Accuracy: Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, physical inventories, and SAP transaction management. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- SAP Expertise: Utilize SAP (specifically MM and SD modules) to manage inventory, process orders, generate reports, and track shipments. Be a subject matter expert for the team on SAP warehouse processes.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve accuracy within the warehouse.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date warehouse documentation, including procedures, work instructions.
- KPI Monitoring: Develop, track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse performance, such as inventory accuracy, inventory turnover, and order fulfillment rates.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve operational issues, escalating as needed.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as Procurement, Production, Quality, Shipping and Sales to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
