The R&S NRX has up to four measurement channels, for which Rohde & Schwarz offers a wide range of power sensors. The three-path technology enables extremely fast and accurate power measurements with a high-sensitivity, portable instrument of minimum size and weight. This frequency extension makes high speed power measurements possible for additional applications such as IEEE 802.11ay and 802.11ad WiGig Wireless LAN, millimeter-wave terrestrial short distance communication links, and satellite-satellite links operating at 60 GHz.

Upgraded Rohde & Schwarz compact standalone wideband sensors for power measurements make up the R&S NRPxxP family. The R&S NRP50P is the latest model and engineers can now measure power levels from –60 dBm to +20 dBm at frequencies from 50 MHz to 50 GHz. New R&S NRP90S(N) power sensors for RF power measurements up to a ground-breaking 90 GHz

Rohde & Schwarz, the only supplier of fast diode sensors for power measurements up to 67 GHz, is increasing the maximum measurable frequency of diode power sensors to 90 GHz; higher than any other diode sensor currently available. The diode technology enables extremely fast and accurate power measurements with the highest sensitivity from a compact and light-weight portable instrument. High speed power measurements are now possible for all frequencies above 67 GHz in 5G, automotive radar and satellite communications applications including the entire E band.

Rohde & Schwarz first to equip test instruments with the new 1.35 mm E-band coaxial connector

By adding the R&S NRP90T und R&S NRP90TN models to its portfolio of thermal power sensors, Rohde & Schwarz releases the very first test and measurement instruments in the market to support the novel, robust 1.35 mm precision coaxial connector. The connector covers frequencies up to 90 GHz and shall be included in the next releases of both IEEE and IEC relevant standards. Rohde & Schwarz has been a partner in the 1.35 mm E connector development project since its beginning in 2017.
