SmartBenchmarker is a software platform from Rohde & Schwarz mobile network testing (MNT) for benchmarking tests. It allows seamless configuration, execution and monitoring of benchmarking test campaigns. SmartBenchmarker is built on state-of-the-art technology; users can control benchmarking tests either locally or remotely from the office.

Rohde & Schwarz has conducted first field tests of network performance and quality from the end-user perspective on a live 5G NR network using commercially available 5G NR devices such as the Samsung S10 5G. This is an important step to verify that the 5G network performance supports the demanding technical requirements and delivers the required Quality of Experience to the end user. Rohde & Schwarz mobile network testing solutions for engineering, site acceptance, optimization, benchmarking and monitoring offer the ability to conduct such measurements using commercially available smartphones.

In 2019, Rohde & Schwarz introduced the Interactivity Test to help mobile network operators meet the needs of real-time and interactive applications in 5G networks. ITU has recently approved the methodology as standardized test procedure, defined in Recommendation ITU-T G.1051.
