The radar test system from Rohde & Schwarz simulates driving scenarios for testing radar based advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and radar sensors used in automated driving cars (AD) entirely over the air. Now Rohde & Schwarz introduces new options for the R&S AREG800A automotive radar echo generator and the R&S QAT100 antenna array. The system is able to generate extremely short distances for the artificial objects, and therefore enables realistic autonomous braking tests with the smallest distance possible on the market.

Rohde & Schwarz has updated the R&S FSWP for upcoming applications. The new option R&S FSWP-B56G extends the frequency range up to 56 GHz. With the support of external high-end sources as local oscillators it combines the advantage of an easy-to-use signal source analyzer and a high-end phase noise tester. The latest radio resource management (RRM) conformance work item from the Global Certification Forum (GCF) has reached “Active” status following the approval of the Rohde & Schwarz R&S TS8980FTA-M1 5G conformance test system as the first to meet test platform approval criteria (TPAC). This includes the validation of RRM FR2 test cases in standalone mode (SA) for both one and two angles of arrival (1x AoA and 2xAoA) within 5G mmWave band combinations.
