Este documento está dividido em duas partes e começa com uma introdução sobre os princípios de conversão CA-CC em geral. Ela vai apresentar os circuitos mais comuns usados em diferentes níveis de potência. Os conversores de fontes de alimentação no modo chaveado (SMPS) são o foco principal, pois são usados em praticamente todas as áreas da eletrônica. Principalmente o projeto de conversores flyback em diferentes variantes é destacado. Entretanto, todas as medições também são aplicáveis em outros projetos de conversores de SMPS operando em níveis de potência mais altos.A segunda parte deste documento destaca os mais relevantes métodos e procedimentos de testes de um conversor CA-CC. Para cada seção de teste, primeiramente uma parte fundamental será discutida e, em seguida, um método de medição adequado será apresentado. Na segunda parte, o dispositivo em teste (DUT) é considerado como uma caixa preta e, portanto, a estrutura é semelhante. Portanto, as partes do teste consistem em métodos relacionados para testes de entrada, testes de saída e uma combinação de ambos como eficiência. Naturalmente, alguns testes são realizados na saída do conversor e também são relevantes para conversores CC-CC, como a validação do ripple de saída, por exemplo.
