RTE/RTO/RTP - how can I calculate the blind time in ultra segmentation mode?

Question

I am using the ultra segmentation mode to minimize the blind time. But this is not indicated. Is there a way to calculate it?

Answer

Yes, the blind time can be calculated. For that you need the record length and the time stamps of the segments.

The record length is the timebase multiplied by 10. In the following example the timebase is 50 ns/div. --> the record length is 500 ns.

To get the time stamps of the segments, open the "History Player". Stop the "playing function". Just jump from one segment to the next, see attached screenshot.
Calculated the difference between two time stamps. At the screenshot that is 700 ns.

Every 700 ns an acquistion was started, the length is 500 ns --> the blind time between two acquistion is 200 ns.
