What is the Device-ID?
Answer
The Device-ID specifies the device to 100%.
It consist of three parts.
1. The material number
The material number is a 10 digit number either in the form:
1234.5678.90
or
1234.5678K90
The material number with the 'K' is used when it is a product which can be configurated.
2. The serial number
The serial number is a 6 digits number in the form:
123456
3. Two check digits
These are two digits which complements the Device-ID for a valid device and has the form:
aB
So the whole Device-ID has the form
1234.5678K90-123456-aB
and can be found on a sticker on the rear panel of the device or under the Setup in the device firmware.
