SATCOM SIGNALS DECODED: Air Interfaces for Space Applications

Course Description

Join Rohde & Schwarz for a focused half-day workshop covering the incumbent air interfaces and related measurements shaping satellite and space communications . The most important digital modulation and access schemes are covered – DVB-S2X, OFDM, 5G NTN, D2C, CCSDS and more.

EVM is treated as the central figure of merit for SATCOM signals. Examples and measurement techniques are presented. Waveform generation and channel emulation round out a comprehensive look at the SATCOM signal chain from generation through analysis.

You’ll also get hands-on time with the SMW signal/waveform generator and the new FSWX signal analyzer supporting existing and future space waveform requirements.

Don’t miss this unique mix of technical depth & practical lab experience!

What will you learn?

  • Digital modulation schemes in satcoms
  • OFDM, DVB-S2X, 5G NTN, D2C, CCSDS, Othern
  • EVM Optimization—measuring and identifying sources of degradation
  • Waveform generation techniques
  • Channel emulation
