Deutsche Bahn operates over 100 maintenance facilities in Germany. Especially on large outdoor work areas, new use cases arise through improved industrial connectivity. Deutsche Bahn uses industrial 5G technology to advance digitalization and automation in the plants. In this presentation, we share insights from a test network at the Krefeld plant and outline Deutsche Bahn’s future Industrial 5G plans. We will also address important points that are required by the supplier industries to improve marketability from the end-user perspective.
