Mobile convergence enables the simultaneous use of mobile and Wi-Fi access to ensure highly stable and seamless connectivity in the event of an access interruption or to achieve high throughput when the accesses are aggregated. A breakthrough for the wide availability of mobile convergence is its specification as part of 5G with the ATSSS framework.
