This role is responsible for taking over and managing the accounting processes related to intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, and financial reporting for the hosted roles within the Romanian entity (Topex), which provide services to other entities within the Rohde & Schwarz Group.

Your tasks

  • Manages and processes monthly cost-transfer transactions (service recharge) for personnel and services hosted in Romania on behalf of other entities within the Group.
  • Calculates and issues intercompany invoices based on cost allocation mechanisms (cost-plus, time tracking, direct allocation).
  • Performs monthly reconciliation of intercompany balances and transactions (Intercompany Reconciliation) with all partner entities within the Group and resolves discrepancies.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with existing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and intercompany agreements.
  • Ensures that intercompany transactions are aligned with the Rohde & Schwarz Group’s global Transfer Pricing policy and Romanian tax legislation.
  • Prepares the financial data required for the local Transfer Pricing documentation and supports audits/inspections in this area.
  • Monitors the applicable profitability margins (cost-plus margin) to ensure that all services provided comply with the arm’s length principle.
  • Works closely with the Finance, HR, and Payroll teams in Romania to ensure the accurate collection of salary and operational costs.
  • Maintains direct communication with the finance representatives of the beneficiary entities in Germany and other countries.
  • Participates in projects aimed at optimizing and automating intercompany financial processes.
  • Permanent Establishment (PE) Risk Management: Monitors the nature of activities performed by hosted roles in Romania to mitigate the risk of unintentionally creating a permanent establishment for foreign entities.
  • Withholding Tax (WHT) Management: Verifies and manages tax residency certificates and the application of double tax treaties to intercompany service invoicing.
  • Foreign Exchange (FX) Risk Management: Monitors and reconciles foreign exchange differences arising between the local payroll currency (RON), the cost recharge currency (EUR), and the timing of intercompany invoice settlements.
  • Recharge Matrix Preparation: Maintains detailed documentation of the calculation methodology for each hosted role (Master File, including calculation rules, cost-plus percentages, and billing frequency) to ensure readiness for internal or external audits.
  • Intellectual Property (IP) & Contractual Clauses: Verifies the existence and proper application of SLA provisions regarding the transfer of intellectual property rights for work performed by local employees for the benefit of the Group.

Your qualifications

  • University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Cybernetics.
  • Practical experience with Transfer Pricing, Intercompany Recharging, and IFRS concepts.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA or CECCAR are considered an advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar Accounting / Financial Reporting / Intercompany Accounting role, preferably within a multinational company or a Shared Services - Center (SSC/GBS).
  • English language proficiency (written, reading, and spoken) – minimum B2 level.
  • ERP Systems: Advanced knowledge of SAP (FI/CO modules) is a major advantage.
  • Excel: Advanced level (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, complex formulas, data analysis).
  • PC Skills: Advanced/intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Specific Software: Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Wizrom) or CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Legislation: Knowledge of applicable legislation relevant to the field of activity (e.g., Tax Code, Labor Code, GDPR regulations, US GAAP, IFRS).
