Rohde & Schwarz North America is seeking an experienced solution engineer to support the Power Electronics market strategy. This person would be responsible for developing, demonstrating and supporting applications specific solutions using current R&S products and partners within the Power Electronics space. In the role, you will be the national subject matter expert for our complete power electronics test portfolio. An in-depth understanding of the Data Center, Electric Vehicle, and Wideband Gap Semiconductor Markets and applications will be needed.

Your tasks

  • Pre/Post-sales support, including customer demonstrations
  • Provide technical leadership for opportunity support across multiple regions.
  • Pre/Post-sales support of test solutions including Power Analyzers and Oscilloscopes
  • Develop and present seminars and customer training sessions that can be deployed nationally.
  • Contribute to the creation of white papers, application notes and professional articles
  • Provide technical feedback to the product lines and partner companies
  • Coach and Mentor regional Applications Engineers supporting the Power Electronics customers

Your qualifications

  • BSEE (or equivalent) with at least 5 years experience in RF.
  • Experience with power electronics test solutions
  • Experience testing power devices
  • Experience with customers working on electrification, motor drives, data center power, and energy infrastructure
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer interface skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% nationally and occasional international travel
  • Previous experience with R&S and competitor test equipment is a plus
  • Customer facing and sales environment experience
  • Programming experience (C/C++, Visual Basic, Matlab, Python, LabVIEW, etc) a plus
  • In order to be considered, candidates must reside in the US and have valid work authorization.

The total compensation for this position is $$153K-$200K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
