Our group is part of a global R&D team for digital Rohde & Schwarz Oscilloscopes. We specialize in the development of wired protocol analyzer software. Such protocols include SPI, USB3, DDR, PCIe, and many more. As an intern, you will work on our team together with the R&D engineers to expand our Python signal generation framework by designing and creating synthetic waveforms for the PCIe standard. These waveforms will be directly used in support of our R&D activities. The goal of the internship is to deliver a comprehensive set of waveforms for test and development for one of the PCIe variants.

Your tasks

Learn specifics of the PCIe standard
Enhance our synthetic signal generation library by adding a PCIe protocol encoder
Design new and challenging signal content to help R&D engineers exercise the decoder
Help improve the quality of our software products
Expand your knowledge of Python with real world development

Your qualifications

Rising Jr or Sr year in Computer Science or related field
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Basic knowledge of Python
Object oriented programming
Summer resident of the greater Portland, OR area. We are unable to provide housing or relocation for summer interns
US Citizen or Permanent Resident

This is an hourly position, paying $22-$27/hour, minimum of 30 hours per week.
