ELEKTRA, Unhandled Exception: Your user name and password are not defined. Ask your database administrator to set up Firebird login.

Description

Kindly help me to run the software. After installation, I am getting error message to run the software.

Resolution

Issue is not caused by ELEKTRA itself, but the installation of the package "'Firebird". This package is installed with ELEKTRA, but is not removed automatically, when ELEKTRA is uninstalled from Control Panel. Therefore the error could not be solved by simply uninstalling ELEKTRA. Please do the following steps:

1) Remove ELEKTRA installation

• uninstall ELEKTRA via Control Panel 'Programs & Features'
• after this, manually delete the folder c:\ProgramData\Rohde-Schwarz\ELEKTRA\<version>\ and all its content
  ---> This will also delete your database/settings! So please backup this data or skip this step.
• manually delete the folder c:\Program Files\Rohde-Schwarz\ELEKTRA\<version>\ and all its content (if still existing)

2) Remove Firebird installation

• uninstall all Firebird installations via Control Panel
• manually delete the folder c:\ProgramData\Firebird\ and all its content
• manually delete the folder c:\Program Files\Firebird\ and all its content (if still existing)

3) re-install ELEKTRA from the ELEKTRASetup_V<version>.exe installer package

Please make sure you do have the rights to delete files and install software. You may run the installation package of ELEKTRA using "run as administrator".
