I want to use the "Remote Display" function of the Instrument View software. Instead of the screen I just see a "white" area. My PC is connected via USB.

The "Remote Display" function uses the internal webserver of the oscilloscope. With an USB connection just SCPI commands can be sent, which can not address the internal webserver. For that a LAN connection is necessary.
