Our speakers
Dr. Vignesh Rajamani is an expert in the electromagnetic characterization and application of reverberation chambers. A main thrust of his research and project experience in the area of reverberation chambers has been towards increasing test accuracy. His expertise includes statistical electromagnetics, validation and optimization techniques for computational electromagnetics, communication system testing in complex multipath environments, EMI/C Issues with Unmanned Aerial Systems, antenna systems and radio frequency (RF) design, and estimation probability of failure of electronic systems due to electromagnetic interference and compatibility.
In his previous role as a Manager at Exponent, he assisted clients with identifying the root cause of the failures of electronic systems and providing guidance on possible solutions, especially in the area of EMI/C. Prior to joining Exponent, Vignesh was with Oklahoma State University as a Visiting Assistant Professor where he taught courses in engineering design and performed research in probability of failure of electronic systems in harsh electromagnetic environments. He has also taught the reverberation chamber course at OSU for the past 10 years and served as subject matter expert for various standard bodies.
In his current role, he is working as a Manager for EMC Strategy and Business Development for Rohde and Schwarz. Rohde & Schwarz develops, produces and markets a wide range of electronic capital goods for industry, infrastructure operators and government customers. The independent group is among the technology and market leaders in all of its business fields, including wireless communications and RF test and measurement, broadcast and media, air traffic control and military radiocommunications, cybersecurity and network technology.
Patrick Mayer is Product Manager for EMI Receiver like ESW at Rohde & Schwarz. He has 21 years of experience in field of EMC where he was working as Test Engineer in EMC Laboratories and EMC Responsible in R&D Departments for Industrial, IT, Railway, Military and Automotive projects. Before he joined Rohde & Schwarz, he was responsible for EMC of HV-Components at an OEM and working for 8 years in the Automotive Industry. He was also a Member of the DKE Standardization committee for IEC 61851-21-1/-2
Steffen Bach received his B.Sc. in electrical engineering from Otto von Guericke University (OVGU) Magdeburg in 2025. In collaboration with Rohde & Schwarz (R&S), he focused his undergraduate research on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing within reverberation chambers. He subsequently joined R&S Asia in Singapore, where he worked on the software implementation of these testing methodologies. He is currently pursuing an M.Sc. in electrical engineering in Munich, while continuing to develop software solutions for EMC testing as a working student at R&S.
